From last 50 years, I have been mingling with people mostly from rural areas, who are poor and uneducated. Even though they are uneducated, most of them have dreams about getting good education to their children. There were very few legal institutions before 1968 in this central part of Karnataka and it was very difficult for the villagers to go to faraway places for getting legal education. My vision was to provide a quality legal education to the needy people so that students from remote villages can become world class law professionals and help in building our great nation. Keeping this in view, R L Law College, Davangere was established in the year 1968 under the banner of Bapuji Educational Association. Care was also taken to add rare legal disciplines to this institution so that the possible research can be undertaken in these areas to suit the needs. The institute is lodged in a building in an area of …….. acres and is well furnished with all the necessary infrastructure creating a conducive atmosphere for imparting world class education. Over the years, with the support of large number of parents and the hard working faculty the institute has grown to be one of the best in this part of Karnataka.

“Culture and behavior are important than felicitation and money”- Jagajyothi Sri Basavanna. The seer believed in educating everyone and reforming the society. We strongly believe in these words and try hard to impart a good culture and behavior to the students along with providing a quality education.

ABOUT US

Davanagere, situated in the heart of Karnataka, is a fast growing city. It is the nerve centre of trade and commerce, the heart throb and the abode of large hearted donors. The credit of putting Davanagere on the National and International map goes to Bapuji Educational Association. B.E.A. came into existence in the year 1958 and now it has become a house hold name in Karnataka, pursuing excellence in the field of education, thanks to the vision, farsightedness and large heartedness of its Hon. Secretary, popular Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa. As many as 47 educational institutions from primary to post graduate courses are nursed and nurtured by the association. All these institutions have been rendering memorable service to the society and the nation as a whole. The evolution of Bapuji Educational Association has led to the significant growth of Davanagere. The Association has taken every care, at every step to facilitate the smooth growing of all its family members.
